brionyCourse Director and Tutor Dr Briony Beaven B.A. Hons, PGCE, Dip. TEFL, Ed D TEFL 

Our Course Director Briony Beaven has run the Munich CELTA programme since 1998. She has trained teachers in Germany, Britain, Poland, France, Turkey and Libya. She is a Cambridge ESOL appointed assessor for CELTA. She was for nine years the Director of Studies in the Münchner Volkshochschule where she organised and delivered further training for English teachers as well as observing and advising teachers, and thus has skills in educational management as well as teaching and training. Briony is also a DELTA Tutor and an ELT consultant and coursebook writer. She edited the IATEFL (International Association for the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language) annual volume Conference Selections from 2005-2009. Briony has given presentations at many international conferences including IATEFL Annual Conference and English Teaching Professional Live.  

Sue Morris

Senior Tutor Susan Morris B.A Hons, PGCE, Dip. TEFL, M.A. Applied Linguistics & TESOL
Our Senior Tutor, Sue Morris, has worked on the Munich CELTA programme since 1998. She has been an ELT teacher for many years and has taught in several different countries, including Malaysia. She has also designed and taught business English courses for major German companies and government departments. She is a teacher trainer who has worked ina variety of settings with different groups of teachers. Sue is also a DELTA tutor and an ELT coursebook writer. She is a former chair of MELTA (Munich English Language Teachers' Association) and has presented at the IATEFL Annual Conference.

Emma Jones LTCL Diploma in TESOL
Tutor Emma Jones is an experienced ELT teacher who has run preparatory courses for the Cambridge ESOL teachers' qualification, the Teaching Knowledge Test. She has also led in-house teacher training sessions. In addition, Emma is an ELT author and the MVHS Exams Officer for Cambridge ESOL examinations for learners of English, and so well placed to advise trainees on examination-oriented teaching.

 

 

adrianAdrian Doff B.A. Hons, M.A. in Linguistics for ELT

Tutor Adrian Doff has extensive teaching and teacher training experience. He has taught in Germany, Finland, former Yugoslavia, Lebanon and the UK. He has trained teachers in many countries including Germany, Egypt, South Africa, Poland, Turkey and Japan. He is the author of several ELT coursebooks and of a teacher training course for inexperienced teachers. He has experience of educational management, having been a Director of Studies in a British Council ELT centre.

In addition to their qualifications and experience as described above, all our tutors have taken part in a Cambridge ESOL CELTA tutor training programme.
